  1. What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be an Architect however when I was applying for university, I was told architecture was going to take a lot longer than most degrees, so I ended up applying for engineering since my father was an electrical engineer. Why the timing was a problem, I don’t know. As fate would have it, I ended up working for an Architect and their hours were crazy, even working overnight when they had a deadline. So, all in all, perhaps engineering was a better choice.

  2. What do you want most in the future?

To live my purpose which is to win more souls for God’s kingdom. I need to know that when I am standing in front of God, I can answer properly for my time here on earth.

  3. What’s been your biggest achievement to date?

I feel like this is a trick question. I was not living my purpose before, so I am still on a journey. Whenever I am obedient to God it feels like I have won the lottery. Everything else is just window dressing.

  4. What’s your advice to other women/girls?

Run your own race, we each have specific purposes in life that we need to fulfil and no one can do it for you and you can't do it for anyone else. Only you have been given the vision of your life and purpose, so it doesn't matter who has gone before you. Let your steps be ordered by God and you will find that what might look like madness to someone else will manifest into an amazing thing. Think of all the ideas that people doubted in the past that are now part of everyday life.

  5. What does it mean being a black woman in your industry?

I think I always doubted myself in the past and compared myself to others. However as I have grown in my understanding of God, I realise that we are all unique. God is in the driving seat and He will make me shine in my time and my way. I don’t compare my chapter one to someone else’s chapter twenty.

  6. What school did you go to?

I went to school in England and moved to Zambia in year nine for high school but I ended up back in the UK for college and university. I was actually put back 2yrs when I moved to Zambia because there is a big difference in the quality of education.

I am so glad I had some formative years in the African school system even though I was studying GCSEs. I ended up at college in Leicester then at Brunel University.

  7. What is the most important thing in the world to you?

God and my relationship with Him. He trumps all things. Life without Him is meaningless. I realise my purpose in life is to empower individuals to embrace their God given authority and live their purpose. How I do this varies but I reference God in all things, and He just makes life better.
