Hanna, Property Developer

  1. What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was younger, after a reading a book about architects at the age of 12, I really wanted to be an Architect. Today, I am a development specialist and hire architects.

  2. What do you want most in the future?

Such a big question! I want so much for the future but the theme that captures it all is, I want to continue to grow as a person. There is so much learning and unlearning to do and I want to commit myself to continually improving.

  3. What’s been your biggest achievement to date?

Travelling the world for one year with my husband and experiencing 22 new countries and cultures has been a recent highlight for me.

  4. What’s your advice to other women/girls?

Get to know and love yourself completely. This is the only way to trust your gut and be authentic to who you are, your needs and desires.

  5. What does it mean being a black woman in your industry?

In the built environment, being a black woman means to be one of a few, which can feel isolating. However, since starting Black Women in Real Estate, I have a community of women who make me feel supported.

  6. What school did you go to?

My first ever school was Laburnum Primary School in Haggerston, London.

  7. What is the most important thing in the world to you?

The thing that grounds me most is faith in God and then my family.
