What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an archaeologist.
What do you want most in the future?
I want to be part of change, change that helps better our society in some way, no matter how big or small.
What’s been your biggest achievement to date?
Starting a business at 21.
What’s your advice to other women/girls?
Do not be afraid to fail. It is okay not to have everything figured out. The journey is as good as the destination. Enjoy it.
What does it mean being a black woman in your industry?
Cosmetics:
Being a black girl in my industry is very important as we are required at the ideation and formation stages of product development to ensure our market is being catered to.
Financial Services:
It is a new industry for me, but being a black girl in my industry means representing in a space where you are the minority. Showing up every day.
What school did you go to?
Eltham Hill Girls School and then Queens College London.
What is the most important thing in the world to you?
Family and peace of mind.
